Kaste Core

Kaste Core - Automated Liquid Dispensing with Inline Dispensing

Kaste is Finnish for dew. Kaste Core puts those droplets under full control.

Kaste Core is a standalone platform for precision reagent deposition. A vacuum tray holds sheets flat. An X-Y-Z gantry then positions a multi-tip dispensing head over every product, guided by machine vision. Every droplet is inspected and recorded. Process development, pilot builds and production runs share one recipe, one quality standard and one traceable data set.

Specifications

  • Dispensing channels: 1 to 8 Kaste Nano dispensing units, with wiring and software pre-installed for expansion.
  • Inline quality control: Two gantry-mounted cameras inspect and record every dispensed droplet.
  • Recipe-driven operation: CSV recipes are authored offline and version-controlled on the device.
  • Deployment: Standalone laboratory equipment, ISO 7 cleanroom compatible.

What are the benefits

Precision Fluidics

Kaste Core units use Ginolis Kaste bellows pumps with a friction-free displacement principle. An integrated pressure sensor detects clogs, leaks and air in the line. Each channel dispenses 1 nL to 1.5 mL, at up to 100 doses per second.

Recipe-driven changeover

Products, layouts and dispensing patterns are defined in CSV files. Operators upload them through a browser-based Recipe UI. Switching product means selecting a recipe on the operator screen. No engineering work is needed.

Inline vision quality control

Two gantry-mounted cameras with dedicated lighting locate the target and read the product or tray identifier. They then image every dispensed droplet. Each deposit is scored against product criteria and gets a pass or fail result. Nothing leaves the process table uninspected.

Modular and upgradable

The platform scales from 1 to 8 dispensing channels. It accepts customer-specific dispensing heads and can be field-upgraded with automated tray feeding. The clean-in-place fluid path means no components come out for cleaning.
